Handmade Wood Fired Japanese Fuurin Wind Chime with Beautiful Hand Painted Paper Tanzaku

This wind chime was formed on a pottery wheel with stoneware clay, left unglazed, and fired in a wood burning kiln to cone 10. The porcelain bead inside that makes noise was hand formed. The paper strip, or tanzaku, was hand cut and hand painted with watercolor. This chime makes a nice sound when the wind blows.

This wind chime is not intended for outdoor use because of the paper tanzaku, but the stoneware pieces are very durable.

The body of the windchime is 2.75" tall and 2.75" wide. The tanzaku is 6.5" long and 2" wide.

This wind chime was formed on a pottery wheel with translucent porcelain, glazed with a shiny black oil spot glaze, and fired in a gas kiln to cone 10. The porcelain bead inside that makes noise was hand formed. The paper strip, or tanzaku, was hand cut and hand painted with watercolor. This chime makes a very nice sound when it catches a breeze.

This wind chime is not intended for outdoor use because of the paper tanzaku, but the porcelain pieces are very durable.

The body of the wind chime is 3.25" tall and 3.75" wide. The tanzaku is 7" long and 2" wide.

Handmade Honey Brown Glazed Japanese Fuurin Wind Chime with Beautiful Hand Painted Paper Tanzaku

This wind chime was formed on a pottery wheel with translucent porcelain, glazed with a thin honey brown tea dust glaze, and fired in a gas kiln to cone 10. The porcelain bead inside that makes noise was hand formed. The paper strip, or tanzaku, was hand cut and hand painted with watercolor. This chime makes a very nice sound when the wind blows.

This wind chime is not intended for outdoor use because of the paper tanzaku, but the porcelain pieces are very durable.

The body of this windchime is 3" tall and 4" wide. The tanzaku is 2" wide and 7" long.
